Portfolio
I am a technical communicator who is focused on usable design. I am passionate about creating documents that are easy for users to read and that are accessible to all audiences. Designing new documents (or redesigning old ones) is exciting to me, it is a challenge I always love to try to solve.
My end goal is to create documents and websites that are aesthetically pleasing while still being organized and easy to navigate and read.
Writing
I have had the opportunity to gain great teamwork skills when writing technical documents. Most of the documents I have created throughout my schooling have been created while working with at least two other team members. I have taken many different roles within those teams such as lead writer, editor, and more.
I have had experience with many different types of technical documents such as proposals, instruction manuals, professional documents, and more.
Web Design & Coding
I have helped design and redesign many different websites. For my work for at university offices, I have helped redesign websites for the Financial Aid office and the Career Service office. I used primarily HTML and the university's host site, OU Campus, to create new web pages. I have also used other website builders like Wix, Weebly, and WordPress to create websites. I also have experience building web pages on Brackets. I also have a basic, working knowledge of Python and Java.

Multimedia Design
I have a wide range of experience in using different forms of media. For writing programs, I am well versed in Microsoft products such as Word, Power Point, and Excel. I also know the in's and out's of Google products such as Drive, Sheets, and Slides.
In terms of design programs, I am excellent in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, I also know my way around Photoshop, Lightroom, and more. Any skills I lack in these programs I am usually able to learn very quickly. I know how to package products and can easily collaborate on projects with teams while using these programs. I have also had sufficient training in document design and delivering a customer-focused document.
I have also had excellent experience in video editing. I have worked thoroughly with Camtasia to create, edit, and caption screencast videos. I have also worked with Amara in order to create captions to make videos more accessible to viewers. I also have basic experience with Adobe Premier Pro, I used this program to create the video provided below.

These campaigns were created using Adobe Illustrator and post on the USU Career Service's Instagram account to help inform students about current events and subjects the office helped students learn more about.

I created this video at the request of the USU Career Services office and Campus Police. It's purpose is to inform university students how to stay safe while searching for jobs and prevent scams.
This video was filmed using a Google Pixel 3a cell phone and edited with Adobe Premier Pro.
